From Donnant to Grand Guet : you will find many caves along the shore; some of them are accessible when the sea is calm (which is not so frequent). Caution ! when there is a strong wind or a large swell, the sea is dangerous; the waves may climb high above the cliff and trap the walker or the fisherman. Between Donnant and Vazen, facing the rocks of Ridjedew, you may find a commemorative marble plaque fixed in the rock. Similarly, in the glen of Kouar Men, you may see two commemorative plaques for a father and his son. |
The sea bed is beautiful along the rocks. There are many barnacles (Pollicipes cornucopiae) on the rocks of Ridjedew and Beg Lam. You can visit two beaches: Donnant (one of the famous sites of Belle-Ile) and Vazen, which is more quiet and appreciated by families with young children.
